I was shown this video in my Internet Marketing class. It is a commercial that serves as an anti-domestic violence public service announcement. The marketing goal of the activity is to promote awareness of the effects domestic violence has on children. The intended audience parents that may have and know children that have been exposed to domestic violence. It is an appropriate method to promote awareness of the concern because it shocks the viewer into believing the dramatics effects that can happen immediately to children of all ages. Promotion through video is the best option because awareness will be most raised through visuals of the possible effects.
In this blog, I will post examples of influences and interactions of "marketing and society" with responses to the following questions: what is the action/activity? what is the marketing goal of the activity? who is the intended audience? is the activity effective? is it appropriate? why or why not? This is for the course MKTG 491 - Marketing and Social Issues at Seattle University.
